عسل مانوكا الاصلي (https://wadimanuka.com/) الذي ينتج في نيوزيلندا فقط فلديه قوانين صارمة للحفاظ على منتجهم من أي غش أو تقليد، فهو أغلى نوع من أنواع العسل بسبب احتوائه على خصائص فريدة وبسبب ندرته فهو عسل أحادي الزهرة. عليه الطلب كثيراً فتقوم الحكومة النيوزيلندية بتصديره لما فيه من فوائد متعددة وخصائص عالية. فهو يفيد جسم الإنسان حيث أنه يستخدم في الطب البديل كمادة طبيعية لشفاء الجروح والالتهابات الجلدية، يستخدم في الأكل فملعقة واحدة منه يومياً تدعم الجسم وتعزز وتقوي المناعة وتعمل على تنظيم الجهاز الهضمي.
