ساحة الاستقلال في كوالالمبور ، و اسمها يدل عليها حيث انها الساحة التي شهدت استقلال البلاد ماليزيا من الاستعمار البريطاني و هي مكان جيد لتذهب في رحلة عبر تاريخ الاستعمار الذي مر في ماليزيا هناك الميدان الاخضر وهو الساحة الرئيسية والتي شهدت وما زالت تشهد الكثير من الاحداث والمناسبات والاحتفالات التي ترعاها دولة ماليزيا ، و يمكن من خلال الميدان مشاهدة اطلالة المدينة الحضريه ، ايضا عبر الشارع يمكن مشاهدة مبنى السلطان عبدالصمد التاريخي . اذا كنت مهتم بالاختلاط بالسكان المحليين فافضل وقت هو الذهاب بعد الغروب ايام العطل الرسمية و نهاية الاسبوع حيث يحتشد الكثير من الماليزيين عند الميدان العشبي المنعش، يمكنك الوصول الى هناك بواسطة تكسي او الوصول بالقطار الى محطة بازار سيني ثم المشي الى هناك قرابة خمس دقائق ويبعد عن مركز عاصمة ماليزيا كوالالمبور ايضا قرابة الخمس دقائق
